Day 12- Paris
Oui oui, I love Pari! The food’s delish! I’ve had yummy french onion soup, fresh bread, Brie, and fondue. Mama promised crepes with Nutella and macarons tomorrow. We had a busy day. We started at Sainte Chapelle royal chapel with its gothic medieval style. It’s known for having beautiful stained glass windows. It was breathtaking. Next, we visited Queen Marie Antoinette’s last residence. I thought I was visiting her summer palace or something but they took me to a prison. They held all of the accused during the French Revolution at the Conciergerie before they went to trial. Unfortunately, she met the guillotine.
Our next stop was to explore the Archaeological Crypt of Paris of Notre-Dame. It was fascinating to see all the artifacts from the Seine River. Later in the day we visited the Paris Pantheon where Marie Curie is buried along with other famous French citizens.
We ended the day with a dinner cruise down the Seine to see Paris by night.
