Day 7

I heard mama say roaming around the city.  I was happy to have a leisurely walk around our next port.  Boy, was I wrong. I totally misunderstood.  She said, “Rome not Roam!”  We walked 16,000 steps covering almost 6 miles.  I was so tired my leaves were welting in the heat.

We had a mad dash through the Vatican. It’s the one of the most important places to Catholics.  I learned that it’s one of the smallest countries in the world.  We visited the coliseum where gladiators battled and we had a traditional Italian lunch.

The worst part of the tour was these corny actors who kept appearing.  That show needed to be mortally wounded like Julius Caesar. Just call me Brutus because it was terrible.  I cringe in my skin thinking about it.  Along the way we saw many statues and visited the famous Trevi fountain.  It was so crowded that mama couldn’t get a picture of me.
